Death

This is the first piece I've done strictly for myself in, what seems like, a really long time. Neil Gaiman is one of my all time favorite authors. His style is an amazing well of mythology, philosophy, fantasy, modern day society and ridiculously brilliant conceptualization. I think my first brush with Gaiman was his novel Neverwhere, but my favorite of his creations so far is hands down The Sandman graphics... hence my image of Death.

I wanted to go back to some of my earlier stuff and explore the Art Nouveau while maintaining my own style. I was really adamant about sticking to blacks and grays for this.
